Our final concert of the season features Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, narrated by WFIU‘s own George Walker, the gorgeous violin sound of Kit Boulding as soloist on Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, plus a performance of the Stamitz Viola Concerto by Maeve Whelan, winner of our 2017 Youth Concerto Competition. The stories told by opera can be quirky, funny, moving, heroic, or tragic, but one thing they definitely are not is predictable. Join the BSO and Reimagining Opera for Kids (ROK) as we tell stories that may (or may not) end happily ever after.

A FREE concert of family favorites including Peter and the Wolf, selections from the Firebird Suite, plus a performance of the Saint-Säens Cello Concerto by Ethan Murphy, our second place winner in the 2017 Youth Concerto Competition. Sponsored by Solution Tree.
