Epic – Motion and Grandeur
March 11, 2018
Blissful. Warm. Joyful. Ecstatic. Festive.
How will you feel after attending the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra’s next concert?
Houston Grand Opera’s Cecilia Duarte joins the BSO to perform music of De Falla, Grieg, and Fauré. According to Broadway World, “Her gorgeous Mezzo-soprano fills the auditorium with warmth and light every time she opens her mouth to sing.”
M-Magazine calls Dani Howard “an exciting young composer with great energy.” The BSO will be presenting the US premiere of Howard’s hauntingly beautiful Arches.
Last, but certainly not least, we’ll close the concert with Beethoven’s blissful Symphony No. 7, which the composer himself called “one of the happiest products of my poor talents.”
